- Gryfftoberfest Winners -
The results are finally in! Well, they've been in for a while, but haven't been announced here yet. Not as many participated as hoped, but the entries that were received, were absolutely amazing. Want to know who won the Acrostic Poem contest? Or who the winners of the IRC Games were? All the winners for all 17 contests can be located here.
- November Den Challenge Results -
The November Den Challenge...was it so long ago? Well, yes. However, the results are in. If you remember, the challenge was to create your own dangerous game to compete with Creaothceann. Two of the three dens completed this challenge. First place went to the Lunatic Leopards for their game Bounce Pop! Second place went to the Paranoid Panthers for their game: Surfing
on Newly Transfigured Highly Polished Turtle Shields on the Stairs of Hogwarts. That's a mouthful. Please check this thread in order to get the locations of the websites where these wonderful games are explained.
December Den Challenge results are still pending. But that's not a surprise, is it?
- January Den Challenge -
Aah. Another wonderful challenge for our dens. January's challenge is to create your own unique story, whether it be comedy, tragedy or fairytale. The one catch is, the villain must win. Don't forget to help out your dens and participate in this challenge. More information can be located here.
- November and December House Meeting Logs -
November and December House Meeting logs have now been uploaded onto the Gryffindor Website, so that people who missed the meetings, or new students can view them. They are located here.
- January House Meeting -
January's house meeting will once again be held on the second Sunday of the month. That means on January 13th at 3 PM EST / 8 PM HOL time, the first house meeting of 2008 will be held. Of course, attendance is not mandatory, but you know we love you Gryffs. It will be held in the channel #gryffhousemeeting on IRC. We hope to see you there.
- Paw Print Writer Applications -
Paw Print is looking for a few good writers, to help us meet our monthly quota of articles. You should be in Gryffindor, have a good grasp of grammar, punctuation, spelling, and capitalization. There is an application process that you must pass. More information can be found here.

- Information on Registering for the Forum and Den Sortings -
When signing up for an account on the Gryffindor Common Room, please make sure that you read this topic first. It will explain the process and everything that you must do in order to register properly. Once your registration has been approved, you will be sorted into a den on the following Saturday.
- Gryffindor vs Slytherin Quidditch Results -
It was a close one, but Gryffindor did manage to come away with a victory against Slytherin. The final score was Gryffindor: 130 and Slytherin: 100. Congratulations to Faye Roderick of Slytherin for catching the snitch. This puts GQT at two wins, zero losses for the season, and in second place for the quidditch cup.
- Gryffindor vs Ravenclaw Quidditch Postponed -
The game that was supposed to take place on January 12th, has been postponed until February 23rd at 9 pm HOL time/ 5 pm est. At that time in the IRC channel #quidditch (cheering in #grandstand), Gryffindor and Ravenclaw will battle it out to see who will be in first place for the quidditch cup. Hope to see you there.

At this time there is no way to stop this from occurring, unless we take away ALL guests privileges to post. - Lion's Pride Awards for November -
We had two wonderful award winners from Gryffindor in the month of November. There were no awards posted for December.
