- October House Meeting -
The second house meeting of the year will be held on October 8th, 2006 at 9 pm HOL time. It will be held in the IRC room #gryffhousemeeting. We ask that all Gryffindor's who can attend, do attend, we'd love to see you there. For those interested in seeing what happened at the September meeting please check out the September house meeting log.
- Beware! Humfrey B's in the Air! -
Please be advised that when heading past the first year dormitories, you may want to make use of a bubblehead charm, or have a prefect perform one for you. As a start to this lovely year, our playful and annoying poltergeist Humfrey B has decided to set off hourly dungbombs inside the first year dorm. Yes, that's both the boys and the girls dorm.
Apparently, he had gotten very bored during the summer holidays and decided to start the year off with a bang, which of course, means picking on the first years.
To all first years...Welcome to Gryffindor. :P
- Ooooh, Dramatic! -
It's that time of year again! The Gryffindor Drama Club is once again getting started. Would you like to join in on the insanity? Now's your chance! Join Katie Potter, Ilona Littrell, and other Gryffindors to embark on a year of plotting evil and not to mention amazing Drama Club performances.
Please note that they are largely IRC based and that it would be a very good idea to have access to an IRC program such as mIRC. Also, be prepared to participate in lots of fun activities including script writing, performing, planning performances, attending fun meetings or activities, and more. Please make sure you are a Gryffindor before applying!

This year, Gryffindor had so many wonderful candidates to add to professorship or prefectdom that we had no choice but...to take over the world! No really. Let's hear it for our newest staff members!
New Prefects include: Amanda Hensgen, Angel Blackstone and Jessica Summers! Our new Junior Prefects are: Ben Ackerman, Ilona Littrell, Jenny Lupin, Johnathan Myrie and Katie Potter! Our new Common Room Moderators are: Eve Shay, Molly Grabau, Pandora Alanis Black, and Zenix James!
Also, joining or coming back as Gryffindor Professors are: Prof. Aislynn Willow, Prof. Ebba Brighton, Prof. Pezzie Wolfe, Prof. Siobhan McTavish, Prof. Ruben Orion, and Prof. Wylie Weasley. Welcome back or welcome to Gryffindor all of you!
- Food Poisoning in the Common Room -
For reason unknown to the Gryffindor Staff, someone or something has been placing a derivative of Puking Pastilles, in most of the treats in the common room. At this time, it seems to mostly affect any and all muffins brought into the common room.
We'd like to advise the students at this time to stick with butterbeer and cheesecake until we can either find the culprit, or counteract the Pastilles.
- Welcome GQT 2006/2007 -
As always, a new HOL year means one very important thing to those of us with...sports on the brain. QUIDDITCH! We like all of you Gryffindor's to welcome the new GQT for 2006/2007. Returning members: Missa Matz, Seven Ashitaka, Lily Padfoot, Julie Garnet, Molly Grabau, Professor Siobhan McTavish, Katie Potter, Ben Ackerman, Assja Brown, and Amber Mackenzie.
Also welcome the newest edition to the GQT: Jenny Lupin, Amanda Hensgen, Joanne Grey, Kadina Tigano, and Moxie Mungo! Let's make this a fantastic quidditch season!
- Point Status...CHECK! -
Typically started in March, the Point Status Check is a thread in the Common Room forum that allows you to challenge your fellow Gryffindors, brag about what you've accomplished, and keep everyone aware of all those extra point earning opportunities open to all Gryffindors. So far this term it has been a great success, the most posted in topic on the entire common room!
Make sure you read through the topic, as it will occasionally be updated with all those extra point earning opportunities, bragging rights, and Missa's Insane Competition, for those who not only want to prove that Gryffindor can stay active and earn those points, but for those who want to try and catch the elusive Missa. Make sure to check out this thread in the Common Room to see what kind of insane challenge, and prizes, await you!
