Note from the Editor:

As everyone has probably noticed Paw Print hasn't posted an issue in almost a year. This is due to some sad news. First, unfortunately both Selena and Merlinda succumbed to their natures’. Merlinda shall forever now be Squirrelinda and Selena is off chasing all the squirrels that catch her eye. We wish them well on their journey and have packed them extra rabies shots just in case. Kitty, after months of psycho-therapy for being obsessed with well any pretty guy has checked herself into the insane asylum. Lucky for her it's filled with pretty guys (my one requirement for her admission, no one should suffer without pretty guys). Seven, our beloved Announcements Editor has decided to pursue a career as a model in addition to playing in quidditch and no longer has the time to write. We won't see him any time soon. And some other members who we aren't quite sure of...They may have been eaten by Frank the Flobberworm.

Needless to say, this issue is being published by very few writers in hopes to reawaken the writing spirit in Gryffindor. If you are interested in becoming a part of our lovely staff and are a Gryff, please drop an email to me. (missa@gryff.net). Now on with the real announcements.

- Welcome New Gryffindors -

First off, all of Gryffindor would like to give you a wonderful welcome, we're sure you will be great additions. As a personal Paw Print note: DO YOUR WORK! Oh we mean, we have many great opportunities for you to get help with your classwork and with getting into the groove of the Gryffindor/HOL spirit. Check further announcements *points down somewhere* to see how.

- Watch Out For Food Circulating In The Common Room -

There is some odd food circulating through our tower. They turn people in to salamanders and snakes temporarily. Some people are saying the Slytherins are doing this, however that cannot be proven at this time. It may be the seagulls, but again, we are not sure. So be careful if you see anything odd please report it to us. We must know, so we can stop this.

- Common Room Re-arrangement -

We'll start at the top with Agrippa's Announcements where you can find important things going on in the house as well as let the house staff know any of your questions, ideas, and concerns. *points to the descriptions under the names of the forums* These signs should help you find what you are looking for.

Moving down into Daisy Dodderidges Domain, you can find The Cozy Corner (Formerly known as the Lion's Den). Feel free to settle down into the plush chairs in the Cozy Corner and talk with friends. It's where many of our discussions will take place. There are subforums for talking about the books and movies, as well as the special Zen of the Lion for those of you willing to learn the wisdom of the lion. Below the subforums you can find many discussions about the going ons in our lovely house.

Below the Cozy Corner, you'll find the Butterbeer and Biscuits forum where students plan drama productions along with the overthrowing of the world! This is our main RPG forum and please be nice to the moderators. Read the special rules that apply to the forum.

Below Butterbeer and Biscuits, there is the House Elf Liberation Front (HELF). This is a brand new forum and more information on it will be soon to come.

In Queen Maeve's Quarter, the next section down, you'll find the Prefect Dens and the Study Chamber. These two shouldn't be too hard to recognize.

Underneath that is Merlin's Management. This is where the real planning and plotting takes place. You can find the Awards Committee and Gryffindor Library offices here as well as the Spice Squad headquarters and Gryffindor Quidditch Team's Artillery Room.

At the bottom of the common room is Waffling's Ward. All of Waffling's Ward is open to guests and validating new students. These forums haven't changed much, but I'll go through them just the same. Here Ye Here Ye is for announcements that everyone needs to see. Godric's Gate is a discussion forum where students and our guests can interact. A Q&A for new students and an RPG forum is there as well. Wrapping up Waffling's Ward is Ye Olden Poste where you can send birthday greetings to your friends, letters to your parents back at home, ransom notes for stolen underwear, etc. Common Room

- Improper Use of Goats -

Students are reminded not to practice any spells on goats! I had the very disturbing privilege to walk in on that. We would also like to remind that The Ministry of Magic has a law against using spells on non magical creatures. So stop while you’re ahead or suffer the consequences.

- Congratulations! -

We would like to congratulate our Head of House, Professor Portsea S. Black on becoming a member of the HOL Head Office. We're sure she will do a wonderful job there. This will not be affecting her position as our Head of House.

We'd also like to congratulate our new prefects and junior prefects. Our new Prefects are: Lily Padfoot, Siobhan Wood and Neha Issar. Our new junior prefects are: Fern Devant, Jonathan Rico, Lizzie Watson and Wylie Weasley!
