Heyas people. Glad you value your soul so much. Guess it’s safe for another issue (and for those who didn’t show up, well…let’s just say you’ll be reminded for next time). The following are the announcements we have this month.

Good-bye Professor Blue
Last week Professor Blue announced her retirement as Gryffindor's Head of House due to personal reasons. She will be going on a sabatical and will only have to time concentrate on her classes. Even though we are saddened by the loss of our best HoH we must realize that she is doing it for the betterment of Gryffindor and cheer her on as best we can. So, Good Luck Blue! We'll miss you, but will always be here when you need us!

Congratulations to the New Prefects
We at Paw Print would like to give our heart felt congratulations to our two newest prefects, first years Kailani Loire and Arianna Diamth. There prefect-ship was announced on November 30th. If you see them in the halls, don't forget to give them oxygen. They'll definitely need it.

Changes in Gryffindor Tower
Per the Daily Prophet Announcements in the Common Room, Gryffindor is undergoing some major House changes! Instead of our normal laboratories for cloning our favorite HP characters, we now include a huge vegetable garden that is there just for the students of Gryffindor. Please check this post in the Gryffindor Common room to see if there is anything you wish to do. Not only does this post entail our new garden, but also the remodelling of our boards and Prefects! Be sure to check it out!

Congratulations GQT
Paw Print would like to give GQT a standing ovation for winning their first two quidditch games of the year. This is the first year that GQT has ever won both of their first games. The last two seasons always had a first game loss to Hufflepuff. Way to go GQT! Please check out the Bashing Brooms Section of the paper for a more in-depth coverage of these games!

Tales By The Fireside
I hope you're all having fun by the fireside boys and girls. Remember toe read the rules before you get involved though, so you know what you can and cannot do. For a sum up of the rules, go here .

Classwork
As it is nearing the end of the first term, we ask each and every one of you Gryffindor's to keep an eye out on your classes for their mid-term exams! Remember, you must pass at least one exam to move onto the next year. If you are dropped from all classes for lack of participation or not doing an exam, then you will be set inactive. So, make sure you keep up! An easy way to do that is to check out the Study Room located in the Gryffindor Tower. Many people contribute to posting class links and deadlines each month!

And as a reminder, if you feel you no longer have the time to participate in HOL, please ask your prefect to set your status to inactive or quit. Inactives are those who do not have time to complete their classes, but who would still like to post on the HOL and Gryffindor boards. They cannot lose or gain points, but still may participate in discussions. The status of Quit is for those students who feel they have no time to do their class work, nor post on any of the boards, or those who merely wish to no longer be a part of HOL. For those who wonder about being inactive, at any time you may send an email to your HoH and ask to be reinstated as an active student. You would not be able to do any class work and still not be able to earn points except for HOL contests until the next term. For those who are wondering about coming back after quitting: Just email your HoH and they will be able to reset your HOL status once again. There is no need to resign up for HOL at all. Just let your HoH know ahead of time.
