HOL Challenge 2003
MARCH 1 - MAY 25
The game is being played in teams of two. Each two people, not necessarily in the same house, can team up and participate. At least one team member must have access to a digital camera!
Every HOL'ler can take part! But all participants have to be active students in HOL (First Years and up). Professors, Novices etc. can not play for points.
What is the HOL Challenge? - you get more details soon, but to give you an idea... it is a mix of a Scavenger Hunt and the Triwizard Tournament.

Quidditch Match!
Come watch the GQT as they take on Hufflepuff in the next game of the season. The game will take place on the IRC channgel #quidditch (though if you want to talk you must go to #grandstand). The date will be March 8th at 4pm est or 9pm GMT. As you may remember we lost by 10 points at the beginning of the season. Come watch us try and get revenge.

Improper Use of Goats
Students are reminded not to practice any spells on goats! I had the very disturbing privilege to walk in on that. We would also like to remind that The Ministry of Magic has a law against using spells on non magical creatures. So stop while you’re ahead or suffer the consequences.

HOL Ask a Prefect Rule
We would like to remind all Gryffindor that you are NOT to POST on the Ask a Prefect board unless you are ASKING a question. Do not reply to other peoples posts, do not add comments, and do not offer correct or incorrect advice. So basically, butt out unless you have a question. Your reply will be deleted and you will LOSE 5 house points every time you do this. So basically, DON'T.

HOL Banner Contest
HOL is in need of a new Banner. All talented graphic artist who are intrested in making a banner, follow this link . You will find the contest rules and what points are involved. And trust us, there are A LOT of points.

Squirrels!
We at the Paw Print would like to remind all first year students that YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO HARM THE SQUIRRELS. These fuzzy animals are our friends. So kindly leave them alone.

Staying Active In HOL
Do you think you are active at HOL and really aren't? How do you know if you are active or not? The Headmaster has graciously told us what it means to be "active" at HOL. Gryffindor House Meetings
Gryffindor would like to welcome all cubbies to the Gryffindor house meetings. They take place on ever second Sunday of the month. Details about the meeting will be posted on the Gryffindor forum some point before the meeting. The next house meeting is scheduled for March 8th at 3pm EST in the IRC channel #GryffHouseMeeting

Quidditch Tryouts
The Gryffindor Quidditch Captains would like to announce the end of tryouts for this season. The last day that you may try out to be on the Quidditch team for this HOL year is March 15th. After that, no tryouts will be accepted and inactive teamsters will be given the all mighty leather boot of doom. Please dress accordingly.
