HI EVERYONE! Are you ready for another installment of the
fabulous, and fashionably late, Owl Post?! That's what I thought! So,

3. House Cup Standings
------------------------------------------
It is with terrible sadness that we have to let you know (in case
you missed it on the main HOL page >.> <.<) that at the moment
Gryffindor is the last in the run for the House Cup.
It is with great pleasure that we also have to let you know that
given this situation, the SPD are cleaning all their evil
devices that cause horrible pain and suffering tools in order
to persuade the lazy people to do their homework and earn points.
Well no, not really, we're not going to torture the points out of
you, but please get in the spirit of earning points. Seriously, last
place? Are you all really going to let this happen to Gryffindor while
you are around? Snap out of it yo! Have some cheesecake and get going!

4. Point Opportunities
------------------------------------------
Do you want points that are easy and fun to earn? Or are you just
a pointaholic searching for more activities to get that point-earning
-adrenaline pumping? Then here are some things to keep you busy.
There's the good old HOL trading card (worth 10 points), and another 2
competitions hosted by the Art Department, "Your Ad Here!"
(worth up to 20 points), and "Halloween Haunts" (worth up to 10 points).

5. House Meeting
------------------------------------------
A new month brings another HOUSE MEETING!! I know you are all
super excited about this, so please ATTEND! We'll have lots of
cookies and cheesecake and the highly popular butterbeer! Come join us
on IRC for this super important meeting~
Where: #Gryffhousemeeting
When: Sunday, November 9th at 9pm HOL (4pm EST)
Why: Because Zee will take all of your Butterbeer, Gillywater, and
Firewhiskey away if you don't attend.

6. Quidditch
------------------------------------------
A brand new Quidditch season will be starting up soon! Stay tuned
for updates about GQT's very first game of the season!

7. Gryfftoberfest
------------------------------------------
It is with a heavy heart that this must be announced:
Gryfftoberfest 2008 is officially over. That means no more wild
parties in the CR at odd hours, no more pelting things at house
creatures, and no more butterbeer that's about it.
There were many great submissions this year and everyone should feel
proud to have participated in one of the greatest events of the year.
Now, you must wait patiently while watching the caffeine-starved
SPDers pulling their hairs out whilst voting. Be on the lookout for
the results, which should be released within the next week or two.

8. September Den Challenge Results
------------------------------------------
Congratulations, all dens, on a job well done! The voting was
tough and close but here are the results. Third place was taken by
Garnet Gillywater, and second place was taken by Fuchsia Firewhiskey.
This leaves Burgundy Butterbeers taking first place! Once again,
congratulations on doing a fantastic job. The passports were simply
awesome. We hope you use as much creativity on the den challenges to
come as you did on this one!

9. Drama Club
------------------------------------------
Unfortunately all the Gryffindor Drama Club members have been
partying a little too wildly with the butterbeer and pumpkin pasties.
As a result of their wild and unruly behavior, they've not memorized
all the lines for their next play. We will keep you posted on their
slow (and somewhat funny) recovery as they try and cram as many lines
into their brains as possible while trying to get rid of the throbbing
headaches.

10. Paw Print
------------------------------------------
Watermelon, blender, flyswatter, spatula, can-opener... What do
all of these words have in common? Absolutely nothing! \o/ Our lovely
credible tabloid magazine/newspaper thing (known to
most people as the Paw Print) has found a way to express their strange
feelings. The upcoming issue of Paw Print will contain a new column
titled Insanity 505. Julie Garnet, former dead writer
of the Paw Print who has been reinstated, will be asking five totally
random questions to five Paw Print staff members who will respond with
funny, silly, goofy, and amusing answers. Be sure to keep checking the
front cover of the Paw Print
for this new dose of insanity in addition to the many other mad
articles that keep our funny bones jumping!

11. The Spice Squad's Spirit Awards
------------------------------------------
The Gryffindor Cheerleader Squad, The Spice Girls, is proud to
present the SHINY and NEW Special Spirit Awards! The SSAs will be
awarded every month to each and everyone who catches our eyes (or who
doesn't but we want to!)! For a list of all the award winners with
