Welcome to this school year's last edition of the Owl Post. We are done with fluttering our wings at the moment, due to the tiring heat. Owl Post will enjoy a nice cup of tea butterbeer, and we will be back with more news when our lazy wings will have rested enough. <3

1. May Den Challenge Results
------------------------------------------
Ships have been sunk, hairs have been pulled, sleep has been postponed. Now, chaos peace rules over Gryffindor. The ones who showed great survival skills and got first place were the Lunatic Leopards. On second place come the Twisted Tigers (whose Thaliasta McGreave goes prancing away with a battleship MVP), followed closely by the Paranoid Panthers.
Well done, everyone! It was great to see that fighting spirit! *cough*remember to fight even harder for points next year*cough* To see their boards and congratulate your fellow Gryffs and stuff, click here.

2. Quidditch
------------------------------------------
This year's Quidditch Cup goes to Ravenclaw. GQT comes in on second place, with a resolution stronger than ever before to snatch the cup and eat chicken fingers next year. Just watch them, rumour has it new weapons are being ordered from suspicious individuals especially for practice. Shhh.

3. End of Year Awards
------------------------------------------
Yes! It's the end of the year, the perfect occasion to give awards to those nice people with whips you met around the Common Room! Just click here and view the given awards!

4. GQT NewSs
------------------------------------------
Amazing and shocking news from the Quidditch field! The Gryffindor Quidditch Team will have two new co-captains next year: Barbara Phoenix and Zenix James! These insane talented players will be in charge of keeping the team under control and whipping them into botting, most likely under the CONSTANT VIGILLENCE guidance of Missa Matz and Seven Ashitaka, who now finish they 7th year of HOL (yes, only the strong survive). Wish them all good luck and lots of cheesecake (or gyoza for Missa)! <3

5. Gryffindor Summer Camp 2008
------------------------------------------
Yeees, that's right! What comes at the end of the school year? Summer camp! Join us by signing up here and you won't regret it! Fun guaranteed, or your sanity back. \o/ (not to mention free butterbeer *cough*borrowed from the other tents and stuff)
------------------------------------------
6. SQL
------------------------------------------
Yeees, summer also brings you the Summer Quidditch League! It is the best opportunity for professional players to relax and for Quiddy player-wannabes to experience what playing a real match feels like! If you already picked people for your own team, you can sign up here. Don't forget to read the rules first though ;D
------------------------------------------
7. HOL Idol
------------------------------------------
This year's HOL Idol winner is Lalaith Lomion, and the runner-up is Sophie St. Clair! Congratulations to both of them for trying so hard and getting so far, and congratulations to everyone else who participated! We know a lot of hard work is involved in recording songs, and your lovely voices make us smile. Thank you for singing for HOL ^.^

8. Happy HOLidays!
------------------------------------------
The year is over, we unfortunately managed to somehow end up in the last place for the House Cup (though next year we're aiming for first and we -will- get it or else), we had a great time together and the Gryffindor staff is proud to have you as members of our loony distinguished house.
Every effort you made to earn points, help someone, or just be yourself in general, is very, very appreciated. Each and every one of you means a lot to us and things would not be as great as they are without you. Anyone who hasn't had a chance to show themselves should remember that the only way to make friends is to have the courage to talk to people you don’t know and to always be yourself. If you're interested please take the time to view our appreciation thread to those who have graduated all 7 years of HOL, and the top points winners in the school year for Gryffindor.
We truly hope you had a great year, and we also hope we'll see you (whether for the first time or again) next year. *gets all mushy and gathers everyone for a group hug*

9. Gryff.net Updates
------------------------------------------
Finally after a long, very long, and longer time, the Gryff.net website will be getting updated. It will be a slow process, but it's already underway. Hopefully it will be caught up and other changes occurring before the start of next term.

10. New Prefects!
------------------------------------------
With the end of the school year behind us, it's usually the time when we review all of our current Prefects and Junior Prefects! We're proud to say we made out pretty good this year with these slaves people! To see a listing of the changes to the staff, please feel free to visit the thread .
